There are certain images or references that crop up in lots of different music videos. These ae conventions of a music video. They help the audience to realise the genre of the music and what the song is about. They go as follows:
Tinie Tempah-Trampoline.
Rappers like to show off what they've got. Cars, chains, champagne. They also like to show you lots of scantily clad ladies, drugs and parties. Like most videos, the images match the lyrics and beat of the song. 
Jay z-Holy Grail.
Drake-Started from the bottom.
Busted-what I go to school for.
Rock/pop artists like to include humour and be cheeky. Busted and McFly both tend to do their signature 'stand in a line, hold our guitars and jump' move a lot. 
McFly-Five Colours In Her Hair.
