Long shot
|
Analysis
|
This shot shows the band performing which often happens in a pop
rock music video. They are all wearing punky school uniforms which represent
the lyrics but also show their style. They are surrounded by a crowd of
school girls, no boys. This shows their target audience.

|
Analysis
|
This shot is from the position of the students so the audience can
see what they see. For a second some hands are in the way of the shot which
makes it seem more realistic as the view of the student. There are some
posters on the wall at the front of the classroom, but nothing out of the
ordinary which shows that they are not the focus of this shot, unlike the
teacher who is wearing red to attract attention.

Long shot
|
Analysis
|
This long shot shows Matt in the foreground and the teacher in the
background as they act out his fantasy. The shot is dark around the edges
which could show that it is just a dream or represent the darkness of the
idea.

pan
|
Analysis
|
This pan shows a close up of the school girls. They look unhappy
which could link to the lyrics because they may represent all of Charlie’s
ex-girlfriends. This video is quite basic. There are only a few sets and the shot
transitions are simple and about the same length apart and there are no
complicated dance routines or anything of that nature.
