The oldest music clip we know of today is "
Dáme si do bytu" which was created in 1958 and directed by Ladislav Rychman. It as also been said that the first ever music video was to Elvis Pestley's 'Jailhouse Rock'.

Musical video clips were being made as early as the 1920's, animated films such as Oskar Fischinger were created and accompanied by 'visual music'. Warner Brothers cartoons and Disney's 'Fantasia' could also be classed as music videos in a sense, as they were short films with no spoken parts, and the characters' actions often kept to the beat of the music.
In 1960, the Scopitone (French) was invented. It was a jukebox with a visual side, and many French artists created short video clips to go with the songs. Italy invented the Cinebox and the USA had the color-sonic.
The Beetles made their first major motion picture in 1964;'A Hard Day's Night'. The short film showed many of the fundamental parts of today's music videos, and it was an important moment in the history of the music video.
