Simply by typing 'Mcfly' into Google, I find 15,600,000 results. These pages are just filled with pictures of the band throughout their career smiling and posing.
Here are some of the more up-to-date images of Mcfly:
(All of these photographs were taken of the band at events in recent years and were 'unplanned' in that they were not taken professionally. Most are from the media.)
These first three photographs show the band at awards or events where they knew they would be photographed for magazines and they have chosen to wear matching suits for each event to show that they are together as a package. Three of the members have their hands in their pockets to look casual, whilst Danny has his hands held in front of him to look smart.
The band have gone for a very fashionable, vintage look. Tom is wearing 'geek glasses' to be on trend. Interestingly, half the band have their hands in front of them, and half have their hands in their pockets. I doubt that this was intentional as the photo looks improvised in a moment. The band always look very at ease and relaxed in photos, they are not trying to hurry and leave or avoid the camera. They have a very formal, gentlemanly and modern image.
For the main picture on my Digipak, I will have the band dressed in the same clothes they wore in the video, or something similarly smart to represent their image. The band usually stand in a line so I will mirror this in the picture and have the band put their hands in their pockets. They will look straight at the camera with happy but intense expressions (3rd image above). My band will look smart and formal, but also edgy and modern just like Mcfly.
Useful band research to ensure your digipak matches their style.
